[Felix has practically been living at the lab lately, both before and after the port -- in fact, probably now more than ever, more or less only leaving to move to the engine room or take five minutes for a meal or a shower. It's late, at the end of Narvin's day, when he approaches the Time Lord, looking hesitant.]

[This whole thing is about trust, and he doesn't trust Narvin... but in this case, that works to his benefit, because he already knows he doesn't trust Narvin.] I wondered if I could ask a favor of you.

[Part of the reason for his sabbatical from social living is her. He said he'd stay out of her way, and he meant it. He's really tried to... But it's a small ship, and there are only so many ways to avoid someone, which is how on one of his rare trips to the mess he winds up standing right next to her on the line.]

[I don't sell secrets, he'd said to the Marquis, and that's still true. He's not going to trade someone else's secrets for the ones he's looking for, like cheap and meaningless currency. What he's asking for, though, that's different, the way he sees it. This isn't some soulless transaction; this is something he needs to know.]

I need information on some of the wardens. Background checks. Whatever can be found from here. Can you do that?

[She won't ask for anything too absurd. But she isn't going to tell him he can promise her a favor and then back out of it, because lol. [There's a pause -- does he really want to go through with this? But then he sends her the list: Dean Winchester, Barbara Gordon, Gaheris Rhade, Trip Tucker. After another pause, he adds Charles Xavier, and then, as even more of an afterthought, Margaret Edmonson.

Every warden he trusts; every warden he goes to for advice. Every warden who knows him. In light of the lesson he learned on Silent Hill, it's time he knew them a little better.

Of course, whatever she turns up on Racetrack is likely to be something he already knows, but every experiment needs a control.]
