I'm afraid Dean is in a coma. [Felix doesn't look especially happy, but if not for the content of the message itself, it would be hard to tell anything was wrong. He's being pretty matter-of-fact about it.] I assume he'll update you himself when he wakes up.

[Although, he does hesitate slightly after that.] ...I'm not sure how... Is someone from the infirmary going to come and get him, or...?

[He has every intention of going to the lab and diving into work after that, and he does for a while, but... like he told Dean, that doesn't really work as well as it used to. And then he finds himself at loose ends, because suddenly he's realizing the great flaw in his whole I don't really need many friends theory when the two people he's closest to are comatose and the third is gone.

Things are better with Charles and Iris and even Zane than they used to be, but it's not as though he's friends with any of them, and as much as he likes Anya he suspects it would be weird to call up a teenager to hang out. That leaves his choice pretty simple:]

Reading. [Or trying to; when her video clicks on, she's in the infirmary. Getting caught up, medically speaking, is still a very slow battle. A frown creases her brow.]

[She didn't really expect him to turn to her for comfort on that front, not really. The frown deepens.]

[And then she pulls the anguish and sympathy to one side and speaks as Barge medical staff; it's plain, as though she were reciting from memory.]

I can come get 'im. But 'e's shut right down in a Barge coma; 'e'll be fine in 'is room. Or yours if you like; though I'm not sure I recommend that. I do 'ave to warn you I'll draw something amusing on 'im if 'e's in the infirmary.

Naturally. [But okay, even if he's secretly stressed out about this, that's a pretty funny mental image. He bites back a smile and raises a brow.] Why not my room?

'Cause it's really 'ard to sleep next to someone who's not in a natural sleep. I kept jumping awake thinking 'e'd died or vanished on me. That might just be me, though.

Oh. Um... [He clears his throat.] That's-- we-- both usually sleep in his room.

Well, see 'ow it goes? I know 'e'd rather be there than the sickbay, but I can fetch a hoverstretcher any time. I've just spent a week with Cain conked out in my room and it were ...It were a safe place and I'm not sorry. But it was uncomfortable, too. The biorhythms are all wrong.

Is it just me or is there a lot of this going round lately? Babs is still down, too.

I... guess it would be best to move him upstairs. Just don't do anything in permanent marker.
