[Felix is sitting for this one, his lower body hidden, but the sharp-eyed might notice that his crutch is nowhere in sight. His uniform is also gone for good (for now). He's at the long metal table in his barracks, and the surface is absolutely covered with wires, cables, microchips... It looks like he's dismantled an entire fleet's worth of communicators.

He seems a little annoyed about it.]

Does anyone have a spare computer they could lend me? Or even just a motherboard and a serial port connector cable.

You honestly operate under the assumption that the Admiral needs the communicator to monitor us?

Why not? It's convenient. It seems like most people have them switched on a lot of the time and take them everywhere. A bug in someone's room could be damaged or covered, but we use these. I'm sure people talk about all kinds of things on the scrambled channels. [Felix? You couldn't pay him to reveal a secret on the comm, private feed or not.]

That room you're in? Is constructed, not using metal or fabric but energy. Bugs aren't necessary when they can be made from the fabric of your room. We're likely not talking about a mere humanoid.
