[Some people dream in comas, but not Felix Gaeta; he's never been blessed or cursed with visions like some people he knows, and he winds up having the best sleep he's had in years, even in his black-market-morpha days. It's the waking up that's difficult.
He's expecting a very different ceiling when he opens his eyes, and when he registers the infirmary lights he goes from groggy to very awake in about one millisecond, sitting up with a strangled sound. The last thing he remembers is peacefully falling asleep in a bed that wasn't his, but the first thing he thinks now is that something must have happened that he's blocking out, that they must have taken something else. He takes hasty stock and feels the usual little pang on seeing the hollow fall of the sheet below his knee, followed by relief when he realizes it's the only thing missing.
That makes it easier to figure out what did actually happen, too. He looks up and rubs his throat, both because it's dry and because he remembers all too well how he'd greeted Gaius coming out of one of these... then again, he doubts there's anyone here who wants to wring his neck quite that badly.]
