[Private to his tiny people he doesn't hate friends filter: Dean, Rhade, Dracula, Morgana... and, fine, Charles too]

I might as well get this out of the way before anything else... happens. [Like shooting someone.] What do you know about-- [He glances down, apparently at his notes.] --David and Aya? And are there any others on board? [He doesn't feel the need to clarify what kinds of others he means.]

Those are the only two I'm aware of, and Aya in particular should give you no reason to be concerned. She's been nothing but helpful.

David is an inmate, and I'm uncertain as to why he's here, but so far, he's been polite and hasn't seemed to bare much ill will towards anyone. He can be a bit sarcastic, and I'll admit I don't know either of them well, but neither one seems to be like the artificial lifeforms from your world.

Aya is a warden? [Ugh.] Does anyone know why David is an inmate?

Yes. She's actually David's warden, so I assume she does. I don't know if he's told anyone else about it.

We haven't spoken often. [As much as Charles is super interested in him and where he comes from, it's fucking weird that he looks like blonde Erik. :|]

Unless the Barge requires us to rescue them again, the projects we're working on are just hobby things. The 'staff', such as it is, usually consists of myself and Narvin. There are others but I am not certain we have a regular, come-in-every-day type of workforce.

I see. [Narvin? Ugh.] It's just the two of you? Dean mentioned a few others -- they're more part time?

I think we can all be considered part-time, Mr. Gaeta. There's no salary nor overall long-term project. I'm fortunate to be permitted in to find things to fill time with.

Why do you ask? Interested in joining up?

None that I know of. Aya is a ship's AI and those are fairly common in my universe. I do know that. [So far, she seems pretty standard ship's AI to him, but medical ship rather than warship.]

No. She's very staunchly against lethal measures of any sort. She's much more mild in temperament than the warship that I served aboard.

I think she would defend herself if necessary, but she's taken damage before to avoid harming someone.
